Below you will find our nomination submission, showcasing our efforts in providing a truly unique and exceptional leasing experience:

Built in 1921, Belmont Buckingham has no shortage of history and charm – the moment you step inside you are taken back to the roaring 20’s. When Baron Properties decided to renovate the community, we took the approach of highlighting and honoring its rich history instead of trying to minimize it. Our 1920’s art deco theme is carried throughout the tour path, from The Mint Julep (our community kitchen) through the model apartment. Even the interior signage features touches of 1920’s glam, with gold lettering, bold fonts, and themed iconography.

Prospects arriving at the leasing office will be enthusiastically greeted by our leasing team, offering a made to order coffee beverage, and seated on a high-backed red velvet chair. After entering a few details about their apartment search on an iPad, the tour begins. We start by showcasing our newly redesigned community areas, Central Park and The Mint Julep. From there, our guests are taken back in time when we walk through the community’s museum. Yes, a real museum! We found artifacts from the early days of Belmont Buckingham, which was originally built as a hotel. They are now artfully displayed on the tour path alongside historical photos of Denver and the surrounding area.

We have crafted an engaging sensory experience inside the model home, using elements that entice all 5 senses – sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound. We intentionally selected a unit that showcases the ample natural light that our apartments get – even first floor units are quite sunny. The music that we have selected is by Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox – they take modern pop songs and transform the sound and musical arrangement into swing and jazz style crooners. An oil diffuser releases a subtle yet moody scent of amber and orchid, lending to the vintage vibe of the décor. Red velvet, faux fur, shimmery gold, and other dramatic fabrics are carried throughout the model’s textiles. Curious prospects will find the model’s fridge stocked with vintage glass coca-cola bottles, red vine candy, and other throwback treats that they are invited to snack on. We spent time curating a selection of art that provides visual reminders of the building and surrounding neighborhood’s history such as art deco film posters and a vintage photo of Union Station.

We are far from offering the cookie-cutter layouts that you’d find in most new construction buildings. Being built over 100 years ago, even our studio apartments have defined dining, living, and sleeping areas. We knew that it would be important to show our renters how to utilize the space since it’s not what those coming from new construction are accustomed to. The kitchen has a dining set and bar cart, the living room features a standard tv/media setup plus a separate reading area, and the bedroom has a small desk placed for studying or working from home.

Everything we do at Belmont Buckingham is designed to delight our Capitol Hill renters. The neighborhood is charming, charismatic, and colorful – and we fit right in! We set ourselves apart from the rest by giving our renters modern amenities that are typically only found in new construction. We installed in-unit laundry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and community spaces both inside and out.

Since it can be difficult for renters moving from out of state to choose their new home we have elected to produce a fully immersive virtual reality tour of the community. We partnered with Helix Media 360 to design a branded tour of Belmont Buckingham that can be viewed using VR goggles, simply tilting your iPhone around to explore, or as a google maps style walkthrough on a desktop computer. Utilizing this technology will allows us to put renters who don’t have the opportunity to tour in advance of their move at easy.

Our thoughtful approach to designing Belmont Buckingham’s model home and tour path truly showcases the beauty and history of this incredible building. No detail was left behind, and we are certain our future residents will love our combination of modern living and vintage vibes.
